Cape Town.

Hello Rodney,

Su Squire has given me your email address, so I can wish you a happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.  I mentioned to Su the possibility of coming to Cape Town next year 2013 and asked her whether she thought you might be interested in joining me  on the same trip  that she and Alan did earlier this year, which was from Cape Town to St. Helena.  It took 5 days sailing there and one had a week or so on the island of St. Helena, then the ship returned and sailed back to Cape Town.  It's called the Royal Mail Ship St. Helena, www.rms-st-helena.com   There are various prices and cabins, but considering the cost of flight out there, I think the most inexpensive cabin would suit me, which isn't really cheap and single sex.   Initially, I was thinking of their trip starting 20th March, but something else in Egypt might transpire on that date and I will not know until mid-Jan.  However, towards the end of the year, mid November or December would be the next possibility, but I don't know the sailing dates for that time of the year.

I now have three grand children.  My youngest son who has been living in Dubai has moved his family from there on Monday 10th December to live on Bainbridge Island, Seattle, USA.   So I am going there for  sixteen days over Christmas with my eldest son, partner an six month old daughter.  Tobias bought quite an estate on Triple Crown , Bainbridge Island about 33 months ago with the intention of retiring  or keeping it as an investment. We leave on 21st December, returning on 7th January.

If I do get to Cape Town there are a few places that I would like to see again, and hopefully some new places.

I look forward to hearing from you.
All the Best, Love Ruth O'Connell
